Everypawdy, meet Acorn! Acorn is a young 13 kg male jindo mix who arrived at the shelter in 2022. This handsome upbeat boy has two great loves in life - cuddling and adventuring!  He has especially been enjoying getting to come out for walks this summer so he can dive head first into the river near the shelter and splash around to his heart’s desire! After he goes for a hearty jog and a swim, he wants nothing more than to demand whole body scritches and love from his human, and it it so adorable when he nuzzles up and rolls around on us just bursting with love (Although sometimes we wish he would do the swimming and cuddling in the opposite order ) He is also happy to sit for treats, indicating that he would do well with training!
Here's what one of our volunteers had to say about Acorn:
"Acorn is just a ball of energy wrapped into the shape of a dog. Take this dog to swimming, running, hiking and he will be very happy. This boy even did some hurdling using me as the hurdle while I was sitting down. During the time I had with him, he barely stopped for two seconds. He was not so into sniffing, but rather just constantly wants to play and be engaged. He will also come up to cuddle and give kisses. Acorn, our 2 year old boy, is looking for someone to lend him some open space in the US, Canada or Germany so he can train for the next triathlon!"
Acorn is a well-rounded joyful energizer bunny who is just at the start of his life and would make an excellent companion for someone with an active lifestyle. If you’d like to give Acorn a life full of playtime, adventures, and love, send us an adoption application and we will get you started with the adoption process!
