Ben is a delightful male Border Collie mix who arrived at our shelter in March 2021. Initially, Ben had some trauma that made him reactive when people tried to forcibly move him. He would become fearful and freeze, refusing to budge even when accidentally touched by a leash.

However, since his arrival, Ben has made incredible progress in overcoming his past trauma and has transformed into an exceptionally wholesome boy! Just take a look at his squishy, silly face! Ben has a favorite spot on his chest that turns him into a bundle of joy when our volunteers scratch him there. He adores people and treats, and he enjoys the company of his fellow kennel mates. Ben can be a bit forward when greeting other dogs, as he still has a lot of puppy energy and mannerisms that he will need to learn to manage in a civil manner with his future family.

Here's what one of our volunteers had to say about Ben: "If you're looking for an active, intelligent dog that will capture your heart despite driving you a little crazy, look no further. Ben, the Border Collie, is incredibly smart, knows how to engage and play with people, and can certainly find himself in some mischief. It's easy to form a bond with Ben because he's always eager for interaction and play. Capturing good pictures of him is a challenge, as he's constantly on the move, ready for a game. There's no doubt that he's a high-energy dog. He quickly picks up tricks, especially when food is involved. Ben occasionally exhibits some possessiveness towards his kennel mate, Sugar. I believe this is because he craves all the attention and love, so I would recommend him to someone who can devote their full attention to him."

Ben is now searching for his forever family, a loving home where he can thrive and showcase his silly, gleeful personality. If you would like to adopt Ben, please don't hesitate to send us an email or submit an adoption application, and we'll assist you in getting started on the adoption process!

  • Bahavior with cat or children

Our dogs are rescued from meat farms or reported from the street and brought to our shelter. That's why we do not have information on how they behave with cats or children.

  • Cost of the adoption

YAPA does not gain any profit from the dogs' adoption. Adopters need to cover the transportation and documentation fee for the government.

  • Vaccinations and spaying

All our dogs are spayed and vaccinated by an approved vet before being sent to the adoptor. The costs of the procedures are covered by our donations.
