Estimated to have been born in 2020, Boom is a male labrador jindo mix who has been at the shelter since 2021 and is still waiting for his second chance. Boom is an adorable special boy who definitely wins the award for most improvement in confidence. We don’t know what happened in his life before the shelter, but when he came in he was very timid and nervous of his surroundings. However, even from the start Boom has always been a gentle boy who peacefully allows human touch even when he is feeling insecure.
Boom used to be too scared to come out of his kennel at all, then he started to reluctantly come out for walks with his tail between his legs - but nowadays, Boom has gotten so much more confident and properly enjoys his walks with volunteers! We’ve noticed that he is significantly more relaxed when he is away from loud noises like crowds of people, cars whizzing by, or the loud barking near the shelter. Once he is up in the quiet mountains with his loving human volunteer, he just enjoys happy walkies on the trail happily like any doggo!
We think that Boom has so much hidden potential to be a loving companion, and he could really thrive in a nice quiet peaceful home where he can simply enjoy the breeze and feel safe. We are seeking a forever family who can give Boom lots of patience, time, and love as he finds his inner happiest self! If you’d like to help Boom turn over a new leaf and finally start the life he deserves, send us an email and we will get you started on the adoption process!
