Doompie is a 9kg female short-legged mixed breed who was born in 2020 and arrived at the shelter in the same year. Unfortunately, Doompie is currently on the euthanasia list for this Winter Term due to her displaying aggression towards some strangers. We don't know what she has experienced in her life, but we hope to find her a loving and forever home where she can learn what safety and love truly mean. Despite her challenges, Doompie has been making progress with dedicated staff members who are determined to see her thrive. From our observations, she is shy and never shows aggression. She prefers not to be touched, so it's important to respect her space, especially as she is adjusting. However, as she spends more time with someone, she gains confidence and trust, approaching when she feels comfortable. Doompie loves treats and happily eats around people, which helps build trust. She has been doing well on walks, showing improvement with love and patience.

Doompie has tremendous potential to become a wonderful companion, but she has been traumatized by her past experiences and life at the pound. We are searching for an experienced home that can provide support to dogs dealing with trauma. She needs someone who can help her gradually build confidence and learn to trust humans. Despite her challenges, Doompie possesses many great qualities that simply need the nurturing care of loving individuals to shine through.

One of our volunteers had this to say about Doompie:

"Doompie is still on the euthanasia list at Yongin pound. She has been labeled as 'aggressive' and 'violent,' but those labels are 100% inaccurate! She is scared of human contact, and that's because humans have made her that way. It's hard to express just how unfair this is to poor Doompie. Watch the video, and you'll see a good girl whose faith in people has been shaken, but not beyond repair. She is willing to come close enough to get treats. I believe that she is capable of much more."

Doompie is in urgent need of a forever home, and we are doing everything we can to find the right match for her. If you are interested in adopting Doompie, please contact us via email or submit an adoption application form. We are more than happy to provide additional information and discuss the adoption process in more detail.

  • Bahavior with cat or children

Our dogs are rescued from meat farms or reported from the street and brought to our shelter. That's why we do not have information on how they behave with cats or children.

  • Cost of the adoption

YAPA does not gain any profit from the dogs' adoption. Adopters need to cover the transportation and documentation fee for the government.

  • Vaccinations and spaying

All our dogs are spayed and vaccinated by an approved vet before being sent to the adoptor. The costs of the procedures are covered by our donations.
