Meet Elijah! Elijah is a male 16kg fluffy mixed breed who arrived at the shelter in late 2021 and is now residing at one of our affiliated boarding facilities until an adopter is found. Elijah was moved to the boarding facility after being diagnosed with a series of health issues, all of which have been successfully treated and he is currently a healthy happy boy!

Elijah has a unique facial structure with some crooked features and the most adorable underbite you've ever seen! Despite his unconventional mouth shape, when he gives kisses, it feels like the gentle kisses of a small dog, even though he is larger in size! Elijah is incredibly friendly and affectionate, and it's surprising that such a loving dog like him hasn't found his forever family yet. He is used to being around other dogs, both large and small, and gets along well with them. He quickly warms up to strangers and then eagerly seeks treats and pets. Volunteers and staff adore this fluffy boy, and he truly deserves the very best!

If you want to give Elijah a forever home filled with cuddles, treats, and love, please contact us via email or submit an adoption application form. We would be more than happy to provide you with more information about the adoption process! Our partner rescue, Koastal Dog Rescue, based in Vancouver, is particularly interested in helping this adorable pup find a home. If you are applying from that area, please reach out to them.

  • Bahavior with cat or children

Our dogs are rescued from meat farms or reported from the street and brought to our shelter. That's why we do not have information on how they behave with cats or children.

  • Cost of the adoption

YAPA does not gain any profit from the dogs' adoption. Adopters need to cover the transportation and documentation fee for the government.

  • Vaccinations and spaying

All our dogs are spayed and vaccinated by an approved vet before being sent to the adoptor. The costs of the procedures are covered by our donations.
