Harris
Harris
Everypawdy, meet Harris!
Harris is estimated to be born in 2021. He is a 20kg male Siberian laika who was found wearing an old ratty collar with a chain, wandering the streets with his mom, Aria. The mother and son pair came to the shelter at the end of August 2022. Harris arrived at our shelter extremely skinny and emaciated. Even though he was super skinny and shy, Harris was noted to be sweet and gentle when people approached him. Harris has since been aiming to become healthier by gaining some weight and finding balance with socializing with people. He is still with his momma, Aria, as kennelmates, and we can tell how much of an influence his mom is to him. Harris is definitely a big mama’s boy, all while learning all the correct manners from his mom. Harris really enjoys his walkies and feels comfortable being outside the hectic shelter. He even tried dipping his paws in the water of the river when he saw his mom jump straight in! Harris is an amazing learner and has the potential to be someone’s best friend!
Harris is looking for a totally amazing forever family who can give Harris exercise and plenty of adventure time and can guide him into being the awesome, confident boy we know he is! If you would like to adopt Harris, please email us, and we’ll help you get started on the adoption process~

Bahavior with cat or children
Our dogs are rescued from meat farms or reported from the street and brought to our shelter. That's why we do not have information on how they behave with cats or children.
-
Cost of the adoption
YAPA does not gain any profit from the dogs' adoption. Adopters need to cover the transportation and documentation fee for the government.

Vaccinations and spaying
All our dogs are spayed and vaccinated by an approved vet before being sent to the adoptor. The costs of the procedures are covered by our donations.
