Hershey is a female multicolor jindo/shiba inu mixed breed who has been at the shelter for way too long now! She was born in 2017 and arrived at the shelter in 2020. Like the queen she is, Hershey is a favorite of the volunteers and has been walked by them many times. Let’s see what they had to say about her:

“She is a true queen and has a lot of playful sass in her. She was super excited to be on her walk and seems to like the water. She calmed down halfway and I'm sure she would make a great walking companion after a bit more routine. She would do best in a single pet household since she is clearly the true star of the show.”
“She really is a sweet girl! She did get into a scuffle with her kennel mates but that's the shiba inu in her. A chonky girl who definitely needs a furever family who understands the needs of the breed. But nonetheless, Hershey would be perfect for someone who can devote all their time to only her.”
“Hershey is a bit chubby and the other dogs at the pound have been making fun of her. She has decided to exercise and try and lose some weight...she just needs someone to take her on walks! She loves walking and is seriously ready to put in some exercise. She is a great girl who gets along with humans well, and is ready whenever you are.”
As Hershey is reaching the later years of her life, it would be so special if she could finally get to experience the joys of life with a loving family. If you would like to add queen Hershey to your family, please send us an adoption application and we will give you more information about the adoption process!

  • Bahavior with cat or children

Our dogs are rescued from meat farms or reported from the street and brought to our shelter. That's why we do not have information on how they behave with cats or children.

  • Cost of the adoption

YAPA does not gain any profit from the dogs' adoption. Adopters need to cover the transportation and documentation fee for the government.

  • Vaccinations and spaying

All our dogs are spayed and vaccinated by an approved vet before being sent to the adoptor. The costs of the procedures are covered by our donations.
