Hoban
Hoban
Hoban arrived to the Yongin City Pound in January 2022 with an intake note that reads, “Shy and sensitive but appears intelligent.” While Hoban seems to have had little prior experience with humans, Hoban showed tremendous potential to be a great companion. She didn’t show signs of biting, and in just a few encounters with our staff, Hoban went from nervously barking to eating from our hands. Hoban seemed to be an extroverted, curious, and smart dog!
Unfortunately, Hoban was placed on the city pound’s euthanasia list due to the pound’s limited capacity, and we (YAPA) brought her in and sent her to a training center.
Since then, Hoban has shown amazing progress! Her trainer agrees it’s time for Hoban to go to her furever home. The center focused on helping Hoban accept direct physical contact from humans. Hoban also learned basic commands like sit and learned to walk on a leash.
Hoban is calm and gentle. The center reports that Hoban is food motivated and even if she seems a little nervous, she can be called off leash. She also shows no food guarding behavior.
We are looking for someone who can approach her slowly and show her lots of love! If you would like to adopt Hoban, please send us an adoption application and we’ll help you get started on the adoption process.

Bahavior with cat or children
Our dogs are rescued from meat farms or reported from the street and brought to our shelter. That's why we do not have information on how they behave with cats or children.
-
Cost of the adoption
YAPA does not gain any profit from the dogs' adoption. Adopters need to cover the transportation and documentation fee for the government.

Vaccinations and spaying
All our dogs are spayed and vaccinated by an approved vet before being sent to the adoptor. The costs of the procedures are covered by our donations.
