Kanta
Kanta
Kanta is our long-term resident here with us since 2017. Kanta loves people, even when meeting someone for the first time. She would affectionately rub her face and ask for cuddles when you lower your body and sit with her. Kanta has a bright and joyful character, and she's very playful, and enjoying a game of fetch with a ball.
She gets along well with other dogs. When meeting a new dog even for the first time, she quickly sniffs and greets, then either passes by or sometimes ask them to play with her.
On the leash, Kanta is slightly pulling. Due to limited outings in the shelter, she tends to pull when she gets a chance to walk outside, showing her excitement. Considering her general cleverness, we believe she can improve this behavior with regular outings and when she builds trust with her family. If she's pulled in a direction she doesn't want to go, she lowers her body and indicates her reluctance, however, when the handler sits near by, she directly comes to handler with a big smile and ask for cuddle and she is convinced to go further (Please see video). She expresses her opinions but is not stubborn, easily persuaded, almost as if she's refusing because simply she is looking for more cuddle.
She has a slight running nose allergy (Rhinitis), and depending on the weather, she might make slight breathing sounds, which often disappear within a few hours. In 2022, Kanta was moved to the Boarding School for some peace and recovery time of this nose allergy. With the care of the YAPA team's regular visit, and boarding school's effort, her symptoms have significantly improved, becoming very minor and lasting only a few hours. Also Kanta has straight and healthy teeth and shows no aggression, even when volunteers opens her mouth to check her teeth.
Kanta is an energetic, playful, and happy dog seeking a home where she can be taken out regularly. She would do well with an active family interested in activities like hiking, walking, jogging, fetching a call or any sports. As she gets along with other dogs, she would thrive as either an only child as well as a second dog.

Bahavior with cat or children
Our dogs are rescued from meat farms or reported from the street and brought to our shelter. That's why we do not have information on how they behave with cats or children.
-
Cost of the adoption
YAPA does not gain any profit from the dogs' adoption. Adopters need to cover the transportation and documentation fee for the government.

Vaccinations and spaying
All our dogs are spayed and vaccinated by an approved vet before being sent to the adoptor. The costs of the procedures are covered by our donations.
