Max is an incredibly lovable male Jindo mix who weighs 25kg. He is one of our longer staying residents and has somehow been with us at the shelter since 2018 now. Max is super affectionate, and can't wait to find his forever human to have some forever cuddles with.
Here is what one of our volunteers had to say about him:
"Max, otherwise known as Hambak, is a little bit older - about 4 years old, so he is quite independent. On our walk together, he was mostly just focused on sniffing, rather than giving me / others any attention. He loves to run, so we ran a lot. And I discovered that he was scared of the water. He freaked out a bit when he lost his balance and his back feet landed in the river.
But besides all this, one little incident really struck me on our walk. Along our path was a young girl who was crying for some reason. Max stood and watched, and he refused to leave even when I tried to move him. It was as if he wanted to make sure that the girl was okay. So even though Max didn't come across as all cuddly, I think that he will be that good companion who be there in the background protecting everyone."
This sweetheart with many names has captured many hearts of our volunteers, but we can't wait until he finds his forever family to endlessly love. If you’re interested in adopting Max, send us an adoption application and we will will get you started on the adoption process!

  • Bahavior with cat or children

Our dogs are rescued from meat farms or reported from the street and brought to our shelter. That's why we do not have information on how they behave with cats or children.

  • Cost of the adoption

YAPA does not gain any profit from the dogs' adoption. Adopters need to cover the transportation and documentation fee for the government.

  • Vaccinations and spaying

All our dogs are spayed and vaccinated by an approved vet before being sent to the adoptor. The costs of the procedures are covered by our donations.
