Estimated to have been born in 2017, Maxi is a female jindo mixed breed who is another one of our shelter’s long-term jindo residents. Maxi has been here so long that she has lived through two of our shelter moves as we expanded as an organization. Even though Maxi has grown up at the shetler but she is still innocent to the outdoor world and people. Maxi is fearful of everything new including people and environments. She does warm up to the point of leash walkies and even a small smile graces her face as long as she is with her trusted kennel buddies. We know Maxi has the potential to be a great companion to someone special, but she just needs to have a guide to show her the way.
Here’s what one of our volunteers had to say about Maxi:
“This is Maxi. Maxi is a very nervous dog. She pulled on the leash alot and was running from left to right, so she definitely needs leash training. Maxi gets startled easily by loud sounds such as other dogs, cars, and people passing by. Despite being scared of her surroundings, she enjoys sniffing around and exploring. She doesn't mind being close with her kennel mates and shows no aggression towards other dogs. She definitely needs alot of love and reassurance from a family who can give her alot of time.”
Maxi is looking for a welcoming forever family who can lovingly and patiently be her teacher at life lessons for happiness and showing her the world is safe and full of love. If you would like to adopt Maxi, please send us an email and we’ll help you get started on the adoption process~

  • Bahavior with cat or children

Our dogs are rescued from meat farms or reported from the street and brought to our shelter. That's why we do not have information on how they behave with cats or children.

  • Cost of the adoption

YAPA does not gain any profit from the dogs' adoption. Adopters need to cover the transportation and documentation fee for the government.

  • Vaccinations and spaying

All our dogs are spayed and vaccinated by an approved vet before being sent to the adoptor. The costs of the procedures are covered by our donations.
