Mickey
Mickey
Mickey is a 15kg male jindo/village dog mixed breed boy who came to our shelter in March 2022. He is estimated to have been born in 2021 by the vets. He was found running around happily on the streets all by himself. He was brought in and his intake notes say that Mickey was an absolute cutie. Which is so true! Mickey is a bright and positive sweetheart who enjoys energetic activities like running around and rolling around in the tall grass! He loves his zoomies and goes a little silly which makes us laugh so much. He is also a big cuddler and just loves to bond with people.
We are not sure what traumatic event may have happened in Mickey's past, but unfortunately he can be reactive to other dogs and he can also show defensive behaviors towards humans when he is feeling uncomfortable or threatened. Because of this, Mickey is desperately in need of a confident, experienced family who is very knowledgeable about dog behavior, dog body language, and strategies for taking care of sensitive dogs. When Mickey's human feels relaxed around him, he is the most wonderful loving dog in the whole wide world.
Overall, Mickey is just a friendly loving dog who loves human attention and is very motivated by treats and affection. Mickey will do so well with the right family! If you feel that you have the confidence and experience to help Mickey be the best version of himself, please send us an email and we’ll help you get started.

Bahavior with cat or children
Our dogs are rescued from meat farms or reported from the street and brought to our shelter. That's why we do not have information on how they behave with cats or children.
-
Cost of the adoption
YAPA does not gain any profit from the dogs' adoption. Adopters need to cover the transportation and documentation fee for the government.

Vaccinations and spaying
All our dogs are spayed and vaccinated by an approved vet before being sent to the adoptor. The costs of the procedures are covered by our donations.
