Penelope
Penelope
Everybody, meet Penelope!
Penelope is a wee little mini jindo (jindo mixed with a small breed) and she is simply cute as a button! Right after Christmas 2021, this little snow angel was admitted to the shelter as an older puppy. She is still so young and has her whole life ahead of her! We hope you will consider her as your new companion and live-in couch potato! We find her gigantic doe eyes pretty irresistible, and we think you will too.
Penelope is a medium/low energy shy girl who seems like a great fit for a quieter lifestyle. Although she tends to be nervous in new and unfamiliar spaces, she walks well on the leash and relaxes into the petting hands of any human who is gentle and patient with her. It is hard to resist holding her cute little face in our hands like the beautiful flower she is~ As long a she is not rushed into new or overstimulating spaces on her walks, she warms up to her human and is happy to put her trust in them~
Penelope seems to really enjoy sticking together with her doggy kennelmates at the shelter, and so we think she could do great in a home where she has other furry friends to keep her company and lend her their confidence! She could really use a patient forever family who will give her lots of time and patience as she opens up at her own pace! She hasn’t known much of life outside of the shelter, so everything will be brand new to her big eyes. She is such a sweetheart and just needs a quiet couch to call her own!
If you’d like to welcome little Penelope into your home and give her all of the treats, cuddles, and gentle walkies her heart desires, send us a message and we will get you started on the adoption process!

Bahavior with cat or children
Our dogs are rescued from meat farms or reported from the street and brought to our shelter. That's why we do not have information on how they behave with cats or children.
-
Cost of the adoption
YAPA does not gain any profit from the dogs' adoption. Adopters need to cover the transportation and documentation fee for the government.

Vaccinations and spaying
All our dogs are spayed and vaccinated by an approved vet before being sent to the adoptor. The costs of the procedures are covered by our donations.
