Perry
Perry
Perry is a male white jindo who is one of our longest staying residents here at the shelter. He was found and brought to our shelter in mid-2019 and has been with us since then. Perry is on the more mature side now, but he still seems to be very young both physically and at heart. Perry is listed as dog sensitive on the records and so he is in a kennel all by himself. But on walks, he has yet to display any aggressive behaviours towards other dogs. Perhaps he has learned over the period of time that he has been at the shelter. It's certainly time for someone to give this good boy a chance!
Here is what some of our volunteers had to say about Perry:
“Perry is a chonky male jindo. He’s got a bit of a belly and a large appetite for treats. He can literally eat non-stop! A bit of a puller but a bit training can cure that especially since he is so food motivated. He is a tad apprehensive to strangers and other dogs but once he is familiar with you, he opens up quite a bit. This chonk is looking for a loving furever home who can feed him unlimited treats and love!”
“He is a strong boy and can go on a run. He likes sniffing the ground every single moment that he is outside, yet, he loves checking out new sounds even more. He paused to listen to the falling leaves, the passerby talking on the phone, and people swinging their golf clubs. Perry has a very good appetite - he loves snacks and can eat a ton. He also knows a thing or two, since he would sit for his treats even without any prompts.”
"Perry loves being outside. It was such a shame when they told me he hadn't had a chance to go walking for almost two months. Every flower...he sniffs it. Every bird...he wants to chase it. Not overly social with humans but he has zero problem being pet. You can tell he would do great with a yard or some space and time to get outdoors. I hope Perry finds that soon!"
Perry is looking for an amazing forever family who will give him the time and love that he deserves. If you would like to adopt Perry, please send us an adoption application and we’ll help you get started on the adoption process.

Bahavior with cat or children
Our dogs are rescued from meat farms or reported from the street and brought to our shelter. That's why we do not have information on how they behave with cats or children.
-
Cost of the adoption
YAPA does not gain any profit from the dogs' adoption. Adopters need to cover the transportation and documentation fee for the government.

Vaccinations and spaying
All our dogs are spayed and vaccinated by an approved vet before being sent to the adoptor. The costs of the procedures are covered by our donations.
