Rocco
Rocco
Rocco is a male mixed breed (maybe jindo and shepherd?) who is one of our longest staying dogs. He arrived at our shelter in August 2017(!!!) when he was just a small young puppy and he has been living and growing with us ever since! Rocco has only known the life of the shelter and is well overdue for some love and a forever family who will finally take him home! He has got the cutest permanent airplane ears ever! He is rather shy at first, but warms up really quick on his walks with the volunteers and other dogs. Rocco is actually super friendly with other dogs, especially his kennel mate, Reba. He loves to be outside exploring and playing with her. And as long as she is around, he is willing to be more outgoing and adventurous! Rocco is searching for his furever home where he can have a loving family and feel safe.
This is what some of our volunteers had to say about Rocco:
"Meet Rocco! The sweetest boy, he was so happy to be out on a walk. A super respect boy, he didn’t pull during our walk and wasn’t terribly interested in the other dogs. He was a bit timid at times but was much braver when his roommate was nearby. He was happy to stop by the river to get a drink but was definitely not interested in getting his paws wet or going for a swim. He was, however, interested in treats. But really, who could resist giving a treat to this wonderful face?
Rocco seems to be a lower energy dog who would make a fantastic couch potato or cuddle buddy. Every time I got down to ground level, he would come in for a cuddle and head scratch. Such a friendly and sweet dog."
“Meet Rocco from Kennel 25. Rocco is at the Gwangju Shelter. He stole my heart with his handsome looks and his gentle nature. Rocco is a shy dog and needs a little bit more training and exposure to the outside world to become more confident. When he is unsure, he stops and sniffs the ground for a long time. I had to carry him up and down the hill but Rocco didn't mind. He loves being petted and is such a sweet kennel mate to Reba, who is a lot more scared and timid than he is. With some love and time, he will become a great family dog! Please show Rocco some love.”

Bahavior with cat or children
Our dogs are rescued from meat farms or reported from the street and brought to our shelter. That's why we do not have information on how they behave with cats or children.
-
Cost of the adoption
YAPA does not gain any profit from the dogs' adoption. Adopters need to cover the transportation and documentation fee for the government.

Vaccinations and spaying
All our dogs are spayed and vaccinated by an approved vet before being sent to the adoptor. The costs of the procedures are covered by our donations.
