Sandy
Sandy
Meet Sandy! Sandy is a 20kg male jindo mixed breed pup who seemed to be a little younger than a year old when he arrived at the shelter at the end of July 2023. He’s got the squishiest teddy bear face and cutest floppy ears!
This poor fella was found as a stray covered in bits of dried mud - he must have been out all on his own during the rainy season. Now, he is safe and warm in the shelter, and we were so delighted to meet him! This bashful boy made us smile when he came out to greet us after he first arrived - his tail and head were down, but the tip of his tail was in a constant wag and he would continue to cautiously approach us for head scratches! Even after just a few weeks at the shelter, we could see that Sandy has such a strong desire to open up fully to people - he just hasn’t had the chance yet! We have a feeling he will continue to blossom once he is in his forever home so that he can feel safe and welcomed with a human he can build a relationship with. Unfortunately, as long as he is living in a shelter kennel he will only get minimal amounts of weekly socialization with people, as well as very minimal opportunities to go for walks and build confidence in the world outside of his kennel. Sandy really needs to be adopted before he can truly be himself.
Sandy is a bashful yet friendly and affectionate young dog, and he is looking for a forever home where he can get lots of head scratches, patience, and positivity! If you’d like to add sweet Sandy to your family, send us a message and we will tell you more about the adoption process!

Bahavior with cat or children
Our dogs are rescued from meat farms or reported from the street and brought to our shelter. That's why we do not have information on how they behave with cats or children.
-
Cost of the adoption
YAPA does not gain any profit from the dogs' adoption. Adopters need to cover the transportation and documentation fee for the government.

Vaccinations and spaying
All our dogs are spayed and vaccinated by an approved vet before being sent to the adoptor. The costs of the procedures are covered by our donations.
