Soma
Soma
Everypawdy, meet Soma!
Soma is a 23kg male jindo mix/Korean village dog, estimated to be born in 2018. He was admitted to our sister pound, Yongin Pound, in 2020. Soma was on the Euthanasia List at the pound for a year and a half. He was placed on the Euthanasia List only because no one ever gave him a glance at the pound. Soma is ever so mellow with the most tender heart. He is kind-hearted to people and doesn’t bat as much of an eye to other dogs. He loves gentle affection and cuddles and loves to explore the outside with a confident hooman at his side. Soma is also extremely loyal to the people he knows and will definitely protect his people and his family!
We have saved Soma from the Euthanasia List at the pound by moving him to the shelter because we believe he deserves a chance at a happy life! Soma is looking for his furever family who can give him a calm and gentle life. If you are interested in adopting Soma, please email us, and we’ll help you get started on the adoption process~
This is what one of our volunteers had to say about Soma:
“He is a strong but gentle dog. He was nervous when we started out the walk, but he relaxed as we went and stopped pulling on the leash. He was not used to being pet, but he eased into it and enjoyed some neck tickles and gentle pats.”

-
Bahavior with cat or children
Our dogs are rescued from meat farms or reported from the street and brought to our shelter. That's why we do not have information on how they behave with cats or children.
-
Cost of the adoption
YAPA does not gain any profit from the dogs' adoption. Adopters need to cover the transportation and documentation fee for the government.
-
Vaccinations and spaying
All our dogs are spayed and vaccinated by an approved vet before being sent to the adoptor. The costs of the procedures are covered by our donations.
